A Big Idea, a Busy Founder, and 30 Days to Build the Retreat Brand

Sandra sat across from me in a local café with a half-smile and said,
“Look, Jen, I don’t have a lot of time, and maybe this is a crazy thing to ask, but is there any way we can get this done as soon as possible?”
I looked at her and said,
“How does 30 days sound?”
That was the beginning of Revel & Reset, an elegant retreat brand in Saint Maarten created for women who genuinely needed a break.
The idea for the brand was already there, she envisioned a retreat experience for women built around movement, rest, and connection.
What she did not have was the extra time to build the entire business around it herself.
She did not have months to sort through colour palettes, fonts, build a cohesive brand personality, put together a website, create marketing materials, and plan a social media launch.
What she needed was someone who would listen closely to what she actually wanted, act as a thought partner while the ideas were still taking shape, and keep the project moving without turning it into another full-time job in her life.
And that is exactly what we did.
Over the next month, we took Revel & Reset from an idea into a complete brand with a clear creative direction, a 28-page brand guideline, a full logo suite, a landing page, a social media presence, and the materials needed to launch it.
This is the story of how we brought the brand to life in 30 days.
Stage One: Defining the Direction
How do you take an early business idea and turn it into something ready to launch in one month?
You break the project into clear stages.
For Revel & Reset, that meant creating the direction first, developing and refining the full brand second, and then using everything we had built to prepare the website, social media, and launch.
Each week, Sandra had one clear set of decisions to focus on, while I handled the work needed to keep the project moving between our meetings.
Before we chose a colour or designed a logo, we needed to understand what Revel & Reset was actually asking women to say yes to.
Then continue into the moodboard, audience, positioning, and decision to build a landing page rather than a full website.

Stage Two: Building the Retreat Brand
Once the direction was clear, I explored three distinct brand concepts for Revel & Reset.
Each one brought out a different side of the business.
One felt softer and more elegant, another was more playful and expressive, and the third leaned further into coastal hospitality and the feeling of arriving somewhere beautiful and being looked after.
The goal wasn't to choose a pretty logo, it was to decide how Revel & Reset should feel to it's audience.
We landed on: active but not intense, premium but still welcoming, and inviting but not too playful.
Designing this brand was one of the most fun parts of the project.
I got to play with strong colours, elegant scripts, and travel-inspired details to build a world that felt refined, relaxing, and inviting.

The final identity paired:
hand-drawn shell illustrations
4 versatile patterns to use as backgrounds
a full logo suite
soft coral and coastal tones
elegant fonts
travel-inspired marketing materials
high quality travel images
All of these elements blended together to create a brand that felt energizing, refined, and inviting at the same time.
Because there were no past retreats or testimonials yet, the brand had to make the experience feel real before launch.
So we built a complete visual system and a 28-page brand guideline Sandra could use across the website, social media, print, and future guest materials.
By the end of this stage, Sandra no longer had to explain the idea from scratch, the retreat brand could do that for her.

Stage Three: Launching with Confidence
Approving the final retreat brand was not the finish line.
Sandra still needed to know how to use it, where to send people, and what to do once Revel & Reset went live.
We built a focused landing page with one clear goal: introduce the retreat experience and grow the 2027 waitlist.
Then we created three pinned Instagram posts that explained what Revel & Reset was, what women could expect, and the different ways they could join.
From there, I helped Sandra organize her files, plan the first week of social content, prepare print materials, and understand how to update the website as the retreats developed.
The goal was not to hand her a folder of designs and leave her with another list of questions. It was to make the launch feel manageable.
By launch day, Sandra knew what to post, where to direct people, and how to keep building interest after the project ended.
What 30 Days Made Possible
Thirty days after that first café conversation, Revel & Reset was no longer an idea Sandra was trying to build whenever she found the time.
There is now a complete brand, a live landing page, an Instagram presence, launch-ready content, and a clear plan for what to do next.
Within the first few hours of launching, four women had already subscribed to learn more.
But the biggest result was not simply how much we finished. Sandra felt listened to, supported, and confident that the final brand reflected what she had imagined from the beginning.
She brought the idea, and together, we gave it the structure, design, and direction it needed to move forward.
